I began writing as a child, composing stories on paper bags at my parents' farm stand in Rhode Island. After receiving my BA in English and MA in Teaching from Wheaton College, IL, I taught middle/high school
English in Illinois. For five years I worked full-time on the family farm. Following that, I was the Agricultural Extension
Agent at the University of Rhode Island.
I am a freelance writer with expertise in technical writing, editing, educational design, journalism, and communications marketing. My clients include international consulting companies, national and regional publications, local businesses, and independent professionals.
I have released one children's
book, Grandpa's Farm Has LOTS of Saws. Currently, I serve as Secretary of the RI Fruit Growers' Association and President of the RI Agricultural Council.
I am always interested in new writing opportunities, so feel free to contact me with offers.
